Preserving district waterways.
The West Coast Inland Navigation District (WCIND) preserves and enhances the commercial, recreational, and ecological values of its waterways. WCIND covers Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, and Lee counties, encompassing an estimated 1.1 million people. By collaborating, member counties benefit from a regional approach to maintaining public navigation channels and inlets, boating access facilities, waterfront parks, and piers and special structures.
